Welcome
Thank you for taking an interest in our school.
King James's School is an extremely popular and successful 11-16 mixed comprehensive, with approximately 1,050 students, serving south-eastern Huddersfield and surrounding villages.
The origins of our school date back more than 400 years to 1608, when a royal charter was given.
We are incredibly proud of our history, but are very much a school with a 21st century outlook, offering our students high-quality, holistic provision, which allows them to excel academically and socially.
We have high expectations of, and aspirations for, all our students, so that they can flourish.
