OFSTED Reports
In our most recent inspection, February 2025, Ofsted concluded, "King James’s School has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection". In effect, King James's School remains a 'Good' school.
Among the very many positive comments, they said:
- 'Pupils say that they are happy at this school.' and that 'Relationships between pupils and staff are positive.'
- 'The school has high expectations for what pupils can achieve. These expectations are realised.'
- 'There is a zero-tolerance approach to bullying at this school.'
- 'Pupils behave well around school and in lessons. Lessons are calm and purposeful.'
- 'Pupils say that teachers make lessons engaging.'
- 'The school has an ambitious curriculum.'
- 'Leaders and governors are knowledgeable and proactive in their roles.'
